Hip to gable loft conversion
A hip to gable conversion increases the amount of space in your loft by turning a hipped roof into a gable roof.
What it does
A hip roof has four sloping sides that meet at a ridge, while a gable roof has two slopes and vertical walls on the other two sides. A hip to gable conversion replaces one of the sloping sides with a vertical wall, creating a triangular-shaped end wall. This increases the amount of floor space and head height in your loft.
Who it’s for
Hip to gable conversions are ideal for detached, semi-detached, or end-of-terrace homes with a hipped roof.
