Liberty design and build ~ Glossary of terms :-

Dormer

A dormer is a structural extension built out from a sloping roof of a house, typically containing a vertical window. In the UK, dormers are commonly used in loft conversions to increase usable floor space, improve head height and allow natural light into the roof area. They can vary in style and size, and are designed to complement the existing character of the property while complying with UK planning and building regulations.
